From Tride...with love

Telluride, Colorado -

sittin' here in the five star lounge of The Peaks Resort after a very INTERESTING day of shooting footage for my intended, "WF Strength Training Teachings" DVD.

i'm looking out over Wilson Peak in alpenglow at sunset.

there is, simply, no other place like Tride.

period.

this morning, my lone Assistant called in sick with the flu.

trained in Chenreezig, of course, i felt compassion for both my intended assistant and my amazing contacts at The Peaks Resort who placed their beautiful gym on VIP status for my humble video filming (ilg TAFs that they thought we were gonna blow into their gym with like a ESPN Crew with all sorts of lights and make up and stuff.) Nope. Just me and Ananda...and Dewa.

Note To Shiva, thank you for endlessly grounding and re-grounding my attempts to channel the Divine Power of the Highest Mountain Yogis to the West through feeble ilg...it's been a hilarious and testing and absolutely Blessed Journey!

Plan B; default to pure chi as always:
Ananda and i shot great footage for your DVD (least i pray that you will buy one!)...in between watching Most Precious Jewel of a Rinpoche Dewachen as She bounded off rebounders, climbing onto Squat Racks, and generally made the Iron Temple at this most luxurious resort, well, a Temple as it should be; totally Fun, Present, and Limit Testing.

no pics just yet,
just let ilg say that ilg hit this most precious mountain retreat resort at the most stunning time of autumn...our precious Aspen Beings (which may not last the life of my daughter due to Human Being's avidya) are changing in a slow motion wave of stunning colors, and i promise you'll see a teaser of this priceless display on my new DVD.

along with a whole ton of WF chi...
that i know you have counted upon,
and still count upon
each day,
in the most strangest of ways,
to keep you
- and i -
- and my own family -
centered within what matters most...

the infinite Sacredness of Realizing The Preciousness Of THIS M(om)ent...
these lungs,
these ankles,
this Mind Wave,
this smile,
this anger arising;
this confused emotional turbulence...

Noble Seekers of Wholeness...permit feeble ilg to say this much:

it's ALL SACRED
and there is a profound reason why the word, "sacred"
is so similar to the word, "scared".

cuz,
truly,
if we are not scared,
we ain't gonna find
what's truly
Sacred
to our next bec(om)ing.

tomorrow: more filming; from the seat of our pants
in the amazing Iron Temple at The Peaks Resort
Telluride, Colorado
blazing
in a firewave of aspen and autumn colors a'changin'...

Blessed Be All,
Blessed Be Thy Workout...

Toward Wholeness, Noble Ones...
Toward Wholeness...
nothing less.

note; DO NOT ATTEMPT to mimic this movement without
deep judiciousness...biceps tendons very vulnerable if you are not
WF trained in this movement!

"Thank You For Writing 'Total Body Transformation' " - Warrior Saville writes in

"Hi Steve...
Just wanted to thank you for writing the book "Total Body Transformation"!

I have led a fairly active life over the years - running, lifting weights, triathlons (many years ago) and some adventure activities in Canada (I'm originally Canadian now living in Northern California after 12 years in New Mexico) - but durning the last several years I had been very sporadic in my training and diet allowing myself to gain weight and loose fitness.

At the age of 57 I find myself in a transformational period in my life and I've found your book very motivating and grounding. I love your approach and have begun to follow the Green Tara program in your book - my challege has been the High Performance Yoga® program - the sun salutations are fine but many of the other poses are difficult for me to master as my shoulders, hips, hamstrings and lower back are very tight - parsva malasana is a total no go and in halasana my feet are still quite away from touching the flower - as you can imagine virasana is pretty intense as well - so as my yoga journey is just beginning - I am happy to try to master the suggested poses and will continue to do so as I understand this is part of the process- but I was wondering if you have any suggestions regarding beginner poses that might help me transition from my current level of flexibility.

Thanks again for an amazing book!...

Sincerely...John Saville"

COACH RESPONDS:

Most Noble Warrior of Wholeness,

THANK YOU for choosing to share your insights!

ilg's counsel is:
subscribe to DL,
consider Online Training after you finish all the programs in TBT,
and,
most of all;
hang in there...within the restrictions lies your Highest and Most Sacred Summits...

remember, NO ONE was more inflexible than your ol' coach here; i was paralyzed!
if ilg can slowly over the decades make rich, wonderful inroads into my restrictions of body/mind/spirit...

ilg KNOWS a Warrior of your Caliber sure can!

pace yourself toward Enlightenment...remember that the Jewel lies in the Process, not results!!!

head bowed and Dharma Blessings upon thy Practice and May you realize your Practice everywhere,

WANNA FALL IN LOVE WITH ANOTHER ELDER STUDENT OF WHOLENESS?

So the other week, i got this in my Inbox from Student Rich Paul...

"HP Prop Yoga is the ticket."
WF Student, Rich Paul...cranking out an HP PROP WORKOUT at 58 3/4 years young,

"So, i took the
HP PROP YOGA DVD off the shelf where it has sat for about 2 years. Well, it took me a month of doing the "Core Only" portion nearly 6 days a week before i felt i was worthy to do the whole DVD. Now for the last 2 weeks i have done 2 Full Sessions a week, Thursday and Sunday along with daily Core Only. i love the way my body has responded. i might be 30 years younger! After the HP Prop Workout, during the rest of the day my whole body feels so muscular, light and thin...it makes me 40 years younger for the whole day! What am i telling you for, you already know! i should be telling my sons! Now i look forward to those 2 days like i do my EMR! Hope my sons do not wait until they retire before they tuff out the beginning to find the diamond at the end. - Namaste, student rp."

Then, upon my return from Imogene Pass Race, i get this from him;

Student RP in his WF Sport Jersey, with Mt. Baker. How much do love this Noble Warrior, Sangha??!

Dear Coach,
Here is some information about the 542 ride that i danced this weekend as you were also doing your uphill dance.

If you are interested: http://www.norkarecreation.com/hcmap&profile.htm

This is my 3rd year doing this ride.

The first two almost killed me.

This year i only had 2 months to get ready and no time to get on my bike to train.

So with the help of spin classes and 2 months to work out the HP Yoga, which was the "core" of the training, i made it to the top dancing on the peddles just like Alberto Contador.

Did not feel anyway near my 58 & 3/4 years of age yesterday.

There is no way in hell i would have believed that i would enjoy a 24 mile hill climb.

HP Prop Yoga is the ticket.

- your student, RP"

Best Posture On The National Cross Circuit!

Most noble El Coache!

How the heck are you? From what I see on DL you and the family are
doing very well. Thanks for the SUNRIDER reminder! I do miss the Sunbars and
will place an order soon. I attempted earlier and the site was down.

We're just getting Cross season underway here in New England and you'll be glad to know I have the best posture of any of the master's riders....thanks to you.

I passed along a couple of pics of my 14yr old
Son Nate taking flight. I'm sure Dewa won't be far behind.

All my best to you and your Clan.
